MISLEADING YOUTH- DRUG ADDICTION
The population of India have reached 1.3 million and is increasing every day.Our country is growing at an incredible pace.we are a democratic country but we have forgotten our culture, ethics ,values, family bonding which are most valuable asset of our culture , once upon a time we were being praised by rest of the world for these cultural asset and ethics we use to impart to the children's and youth of our country.Now with the rise of Economy and GDP we have forgotten our Moral values and Ethics, we have literally become a Money Making Machines each grownup adult is rushing too fast to win the race and to survive and become victorious to prove them they are the fittest in this run.As a result they become so tired,frustrated and reactive which in result in our society are turning our youths as Drug Addict and Alcoholic.
Out of peer pressure and sometimes due to the pressure of daily life routine people get in the zone of frustration and confusion of what to do? what not to do? and they fall into negative influence due to which they get into these traps. we have 3 million drug addicts in India. Cannabis,Heroin,Opium and Hashish are the most common drug used in India. Drug addiction is a major problem for many families and communities.not only Drug Addiction also HIV is a significant issue for a drug addicts in India with over 2.4 million people infected.Injecting drug users making up nearly 10% of the affected groups. HIV affected people are maximum times discriminated,rejected by families and community. These people have to maximum of time hide there status and identity because they are being denied for medical care,housing and jobs as well .
There are few states in India which have taken a lead in drug consumption,Punjab in northern part of India has been facing Drug Epidemic problem since very long time .Even the national capital Delhi is not behind states like Assam, Manipur ,Goa, Mizoram and even Mumbai are the prominent states which are affected by Drug problems.Nearly 75% of the Indian home houses have at least have usually a parent and often a father, it has often been observed that children of age 13-14 are usually caught indulging in intoxicants.

Cannabis Addiction :
Cannabis are the most widely used drug in India they are called by different names in different states like Ganja,Bhang,and charas .Cannabies are usually mixed with milk or yogurt and boiled with nuts and spices this drug is either smoked or drank as a beverage in Hindu ceremonies. This drink is consumed by many all over the country especially by labour workers who find it more relaxing properties benificial. Many of the regular users and addicts suffres from major problems like respiratory, mental impairment,memory loss, digestive problems , weight loss and sleep disorders
Brown Sugar or Heroin :
India is know as a major consumer of heroin or brown sugar in the world along with Pakistan ,China,Iran and Afghanistan. India is also the largest producer of Licit Opium which is used in major range of prescription medication like Morphine and synthetic Opium.A form of Heroin is known as brown sugar contains 20% to 60% purity of Opium and mixed with adulterants like chalk, Zinc or other chemicals. Overdose of this product can be very harmful like memory loss, illusions, multi organ failure etc.
Methamphetamine :
Methamphetamine is a major problem throughout the world and are increasing reports of this drug in India as India is the major producer of precursor medicine methamphetamine which includes ephedrine and chemicals that are used in processing .Majority of the methamphetamine and its chemicals are major trafficked to China,Thailand,Mexico and America.it is linked to major issues like violence, paranoia ,insomnia, organ failure and brain damage.This drug is highly addictive these drugs are responsible for response time,problem solving skills, and hampers sexual dysfunction .
Factors that cause Drug addiction problem :
- Farming crises caused by over reliance on cash crop.
- Lack of Job Opportunity.
- Lack of awareness and Education.
- Ties between drug association,organised criminal gangs,politicians and crook elements of law enforcement agencies.
Preventing Addiction :
- "Preventing Addiction would be more effective than curing" it because people would not rater believe or give a thought that it can be treated by root but yes they would think again in case if we sat it can be prevented.
- The community need to come up by an intention of doing something for society by helping them learning healthy lifestyle.
- Indulging them in a social groups which actively interact with them and support them morally and encouraging them to peruse a carrier of their choice.
- By engaging their mind in some extracurricular activities like a sports they are good at helping them adapting the sport professionally and may be further represent country.
- Also explain them that they were lucky enough that they got the help required to save their life and ask them to help and encourage others by their stories and help them overcome the situation.
- Stabilising the family with a proper financial support by empowering them with job as they required.
- Checking on regular basis that is the financial aid is not being misused and not harming the family and also check with the well being of family that will give them sense of security which will be helpful for the peace of family.
- Making them understand to find a means of financial stability for supporting the family in long run.
- Education is the only source to make there thinking Fruitful and Productive.

I think the most important thing that todays youth turn to drug addiction is bcz of lack of jobs, show off, family issues etc and its hard to stop them using it but not impossible. There shud be necessary action taken by the govt to control it.
